FAQs

Common Questions About
Medigap Supplement

What's the difference between Plan G and Plan N?
Plan G covers nearly everything except the $257 annual Part B deductible. Plan N has a lower premium but charges copays up to $20 for some office visits and $50 for ER visits. We run the numbers for your specific usage.
When is the best time to buy Medigap?
During your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, starting the month you turn 65 and enroll in Part B. No insurer can deny you or charge more due to pre-existing conditions during this window.
Can I have both Medigap and Medicare Advantage?
No — they are mutually exclusive. Medigap supplements Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage replaces it. If you want Medigap, you must be on Original Medicare (Parts A and B).
Does Medigap include prescription drug coverage?
No — you need a separate Part D drug plan. We always present both together so you see your complete monthly cost before enrolling.
