FAQs

Common Questions About
Medicare Advantage

How do I know if my doctors are in-network?
Keeping your preferred physicians is always our first priority. We verify in-network status for every doctor before recommending any plan. If a key provider isn't in-network, we recommend alternatives or discuss Original Medicare + Medigap.
Can I switch back to Original Medicare from Advantage?
Yes — during Annual Open Enrollment (Oct 15–Dec 7) or Advantage OEP (Jan 1–Mar 31). Switching back may require medical underwriting for Medigap. Call us before making any changes.
What's the difference between HMO and PPO plans?
HMO requires in-network providers and referrals — lower copays. PPO allows out-of-network care at higher cost, no referrals. We recommend based on your specific doctors and habits.
Do Advantage plans cover international travel?
Most HMO plans only cover emergency care outside their service area. If you travel frequently, Original Medicare + Medigap Plan G may be better — it includes foreign travel emergency coverage up to $50,000.
